This Kentucky straight bourbon, mash bill not disclosed, has been aged for more than four years and then finished with staves of Brazilian Amburana, a wood used in making essential oils, high-end furniture, and barrels for aging the sugar cane-based Brazilian spirit, cachaca. It is 121O, but very dangerously does not drink like it!
The nose is characterized by strong aromas of warm cinnamon toast, candy corn, and mulled apple cider. Flavors of warm apple pie sprinkled with cinnamon and clove, and topped with melting vanilla ice cream are all enhanced by a rich, viscous mouthfeel. Further flavors of this complex bourbon are dense chocolate, and warm pie crust. The finish is long and warm with brown sugar and baked apples.
