The nose is warm and bright, with aromas of dried cherry, red plum, raspberry, blood orange peel, milk chocolate and spices. The cherries and chocolate headline the palate, before a peppery, spicy finish. Acid zips around clinging tannins to create a well-balanced wine.
Winemaker Notes
Made from a selection of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, this wine is subjected to a long maceration period, after which it is refined in different size Oak barrels for 30 months, followed by an in-bottle 6-month maturation period. The result is an authentic and vigorous interpretation of the Montepulciano.
