When Anthony Terlato and his sons Bill and John became winery owners and vintners, they started with one goal in mind: pursuit of excellence. The concept was to produce wines that were consistent in quality and as important as those the Terlato family imported and marketed during the last half century.
This led to the creation of Episode - an excellent marriage of the very best Napa Valley fruit with Bordeaux style winemaking and blending techniques. The 2010 vintage is perfect for those who love big, bold wines, as the aromas of blackberry and blue berry will make you drool and the luscious mouth will linger for long.
This delicious wine is ready to drink now or to cellar for up to 10 years.

Winemaker's Notes:

Deep garnet color. Intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry and cassis with a hint of vanilla, nutmeg and caramel. Intense flavors with layered black fruit and dark chocolate. Silky and smooth tannins round out the mouthfeel.

Critical Acclaim

  • WE94
Wine Enthusiast - "Terlato has mastered the art of crafting Bordeaux-style red wines that scream Napa Valley. The style is the modern one of exceptional ripeness, softness and sweetness, generously oaked and slightly high in alcohol. Here, you’ll find deep flavors of blackberries, mocha, black currants, olives and toast. It’s ready to drink now, and should develop in the bottle for at least 10 more years."
  • WS90
Wine Spectator - "Dense and powerful, rustic and tannic, offering a core of dark berry, mocha, cedar and tobacco, marked by chewy, grainy tannins that give the flavors traction. Needs time. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot."
